About This Class

In this class, you’ll discover the secret to perfect Thai cooking: balancing the five essential flavours of sour, sweet, salty, bitter and spicy. We’ll begin with Pad Gaprao, a classic stir-fry of pork and holy basil served with jasmine rice and topped with a crispy fried egg. Next, you’ll prepare juicy chicken satay skewers, marinated and grilled to perfection. Finally, you’ll make satay sauce, a rich, nutty dip of peanuts, coconut milk, soy and spices—the perfect partner for satay and a versatile sauce for many other dishes. By the end of the session, you’ll be confident in the techniques that make Thai cooking both simple and full of flavour.
