About This Class
Experience the bold, fiery and comforting flavours of Korean street food in this hands-on class. You’ll start with mandu—Korean dumplings—learning how to fill, fold and cook them with a punchy pork and kimchi mixture. Next, we’ll dive into tteokbokki, chewy rice cakes simmered in a rich gochujang sauce that’s sweet, spicy, and utterly addictive. To balance the flavours, you’ll also prepare a quick pickle salad of crisp vegetables, adding freshness and crunch to your feast. By the end of the class, you’ll sit down to enjoy a plate of Korean comfort food, and leave with the skills to recreate it at home. Skills: • Folding and shaping Korean mandu dumplings • Balancing spice and acidity with kimchi-based fillings • Cooking chewy rice cakes in a sweet and spicy gochujang sauce • Making quick-pickled carrot and cabbage salad for freshness and contrast • Combining Korean street food dishes into a complete meal What You Will Be Making: • Pork & Kimchi Mandu (Korean dumplings) • Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) • Quick Pickled Salad What You Will Take Home: Any leftover food will be taken home.
