About This Class

There is something genuinely enjoyable about sitting down with a great glass of wine and actually understanding what you are tasting and why. This relaxed and guided evening takes you through some of the finest wines from France and Italy, exploring what makes each one distinct — and helping you figure out which styles you love most. Over the course of the evening you will taste seven wines spanning sparkling, white, red, and dessert styles — three French, three Italian, and one to finish that might just steal the show. No wine expertise required — just a curiosity to learn and an appetite to match. Each wine is paired with a carefully chosen dish designed to show you exactly why certain combinations just work. From light bites and sharing plates through to a proper main and a dessert worth saving room for, the food tells as much of the story as the wine itself. Seven courses, seven wines — and plenty of both. Along the way, your host will walk you through each wine in plain, friendly terms — what to look for, what to taste, and how to think about matching food and wine at home. You will leave with a clearer understanding of your own palate, some solid pairing principles, and hopefully a few new favourite bottles. Come hungry — there is plenty to get through.
