About This Class

Get in the festive spirit with a baking class at Devon Cookery School! In our Christmas baking class, you will learn to make two traditional festive baked treats which can be used in your family party feast. We will show you how to create mouthwatering mince pies with homemade mincemeat and a crumbly pastry. You will also make a French seasonal classic, Bûche de Noël (Chocolate Yule Log) - a great alternative to Christmas pudding. You will then sit down after making your beautiful bakes to have some festive nibbles and mulled wine before taking your creations home with you. Everything that you prepare will be either eaten for lunch/dinner or can be taken home, so we recommend that you bring a cool bag if you are travelling far. We are actively trying to cut back on single use containers as much as we can! Please help us by bringing takeaway containers for your yule log and mince pies to take home. You will make: -A Chocolate yule log from start to finish -Mince Pies Techniques you will learn: -How to make a chocolate swiss roll sponge -How to make chocolate ganache -How to make a crumbly shortcut pastry -How to make mulled wine UPCOMING CLASS DATES Sat 2nd December Sun 10th December Fri 15th December NOTE: If you are looking to book for more than one person but cannot change the 'Number of Participants' from 1, it means that there is only one space left on the class. You will only be able to book one space.
