About This Class
Discover the joy of bread making with this flavour-packed baking class. We’ll start by making a simple no-knead white dough, learning the “stretch and fold” method that develops gluten with minimal effort. This quick to make dough delivers incredible flavour and texture with hardly any kneading. Next, you’ll shape and bake a pesto plait—a beautiful twisted loaf swirled with basil pesto, perfect for sharing. Finally, you’ll master tiger bread, famous for its crackled, golden crust and soft, fluffy centre. By the end, you’ll take home a trio of breads that look, smell, and taste sensational. Skills: • Understanding hydration and fermentation in bread doughs • Mastering the no-knead method for easy bread making • Shaping and plaiting enriched doughs with pesto • Creating the iconic crackled topping for tiger bread • Baking breads with professional tips for flavour and texture What You Will Be Making: • No-Knead White Rolls (1-hour sour style) • Pesto Plait Bread • Tiger Bread What You Will Take Home: All breads you bake in class will be taken home. Please bring containers or bags as we are reducing single-use packaging. What You’ll Get for Lunch: A Lunch of soup or charcuterie will be provided alongside your freshly baked rolls.
