Bake focaccia, granary rolls & fougasse in this artisan-style bread baking class (v) (vv). Take your bread baking to the next level with this artisan-inspired class. We’ll begin with focaccia, learning how to create the pillowy dough and dimpled topping, then flavouring it with herbs and oil for that perfect golden crust. Next, you’ll make granary rolls—nutty, malty and packed with flavour—ideal for everyday eating and a great way to explore wholegrain baking. Finally, you’ll try your hand at fougasse, a beautiful French bread shaped like a leaf, with crisp edges and a soft centre. It’s both impressive and delicious, and the perfect bake to share. By the end, you’ll head home with a basket of breads to show off and enjoy. Skills: • Working with high-hydration doughs for focaccia • Shaping and proving granary rolls • Creating the unique leaf design of fougasse • Balancing flavour and texture in everyday and artisan breads • Mastering oven techniques for crust and crumb What You Will Be Making: • Classic Focaccia • Granary Rolls • Fougasse What You Will Take Home: All breads you bake in class will be yours to take home. Please bring containers or bags to help us reduce single-use packaging. What You’ll Get for Lunch: A Lunch of soup or charcuterie will be provided alongside your freshly baked rolls.
